When we lived in the Pensacola area, I had to find time to have a day of fun at the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
The marine park is one of Fort Walton Beach’s top attractions. It is a quaint, classic roadside tourist attraction perfect for animal lovers on Okaloosa Island with an old Florida feel. The park is just minutes from Destin, Florida, and Destin Harbor, with easy beach access to the gorgeous Gulf of Mexico after your visit and restaurants nearby.

Animal Shows
The Gularium hosts two live shows at various times throughout the day. The daily dolphin show and sea lion shows are educational and fun and fulfill the park’s dedication to education, entertainment, and inspiring guests. These spectacular training demonstrations are perfect for small children, who will delight in watching dolphins leap and sea lions play.
Animal Exhibits
Along with the animal shows, the Gulfarium has many animal exhibits with animal chats by trainers and keepers. To help guests connect with marine animals, marine ecosystems, and exotic birds, there are various up-close encounters and animal habitats, such as an interactive touch pool with marine life.
Animal Encounters
The park also offers a variety of dynamic animal encounters that will create unique and memorable experiences.
You can snorkel with sting rays and get up close and personal with many of the park’s animals, such as seals, sea lions, penguins, reptiles, and more. You can even play with and swim with dolphins!

There is also a chance to be a VIP trainer for ages 13 and up. The Gulfarium also offers summer camp programs throughout the summer.

Gulfarium Information
The Gularium is recommended for visitors of all ages , including young children and teenagers.
The Gulfarium is located at 1010 Miracle Strip Parkway SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548.
The Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and admission closes at 4:30 p.m.
General admission prices are $32.95 for adults and $22.95 for children. Discounts for seniors and the military are available. The price increases by $2 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and varies by date.
The Gulfarium also offers group rates and a Gulfarium Annual Pass.
Along with regular hours, the Gulfarium offers special events throughout the year, like Halloween, and can host your event, be it a Gulfarium wedding, birthday party, or proposal.
The Gulfarium was such an enjoyable experience for our whole family. We can’t wait to go back for another visit.
