NOT YOUR GRANDMOTHER’S WATERGATE SALAD

Watergate Salad was a staple in our family growing up. It was at EVERY, and I do mean every family get-togethers and celebration. I loved it growing up, and I love it now as an adult.

However, traditional Watergate Salad is FULL of sugar. Between the cool whip and the instant pudding and the marshmallows and the pineapple, it’s almost TOO sweet. WAY too sweet. So when I decided to start cutting sugar, I looked for ways to keep my favorite treat still but with less sugar.

When searching keto and sugar-free pudding desserts, I noticed that people were mixing sugar-free pudding with heavy whipping cream. I thought to myself, and I wonder if this could work for Watergate Salad, and it did! The result is the Watergate Salad I loved as a child with less sugar. It’s the perfect sweet treat!
